3RD GRADE

Hello!  My name is Tony Shade and I’m a third grade teacher here at Iowa Valley.  I’ve been teaching here for 28 years.  I have a teaching certificate from the University of Iowa and a masters in curriculum and instruction from the University of Saint Mary. Third grade is an exciting year for our students.  In third grade, they will have Mrs. Henry for social studies and they will have me for the rest of the academic instruction.  Some of the topics they will learn this year are cursive, multiplication, division, growing plants, government, and poetry.  In addition, the third grade usually takes field trips to the Amanas and the state capital.
